The Council and Senate of Swansea University has invited Prof Roland W. Lewis to accept an Honorary Degree (DEng) from the University.

Major International Award for InCFD
InCFD have won the award for Best Innovations in Flight Physics at Airbus for 2017/18. This is due the unprecedented accuracy of Elemental allowing for a new level of understanding of fuel sloshing effects on the aircraft structure.

Local Industry Impact with CFW

At CFW it is recognised that fan design prototyping may be significantly enhanced by the addition of computer based virtual wind-tunnel or computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and has therefore teamed up with the Industrial CFD group at the University of Cape Town.

InCFD is a research group based with-in the department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cape Town (UCT). The prime objective is to develop state-of-the-art computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling technology and expertise for the express support of industry. This is done via the uncompromising pursuit of innovation through fundamental research which carries the hall mark of excellence. InCFD is home to the South African Research (SARChI) Chair in Industrial CFD.
